Call for Student Bursaries Application

The SASBMB council is offering several bursaries worth R500.00 to postgraduate students who register to attend the 28th SASBMB Congress taking place from 7-10 July 2024 and to be held at the Ranch Protea Resort Hotel in Polokwane.

The application deadline has been extended to 5 May 2024. LATE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

The SASBMB council is offering several bursaries of R500.00 to support financially constrained postgraduate students who register to attend the 28th SASBMB Congress.

Only presenting participants with an accepted abstract will be considered.

Selection will be made on the basis of one or more of the following criteria:

• Proof of current registration as either an Honours, Masters or PhD student.
• Please provide a letter of recommendation letter (max half a page) from your supervisor
• Applicant must be presenting (first) authors on an official abstract to the conference
• The quality and relevance of the abstract to the congress themes will be essential.
• Selection will be on “first come first served” basis

On approval of applications:

1. A discount will be provided to new registration applications.
2. If already registered;
• A credit will be passed for paid up registrations.
• A revised invoice with the discount applied will be provided for payment.
